Portland Book Festival
The Pacific Northwest’s largest celebration of books and writing.
The Portland Book Festival (formerly Wordstock) offers something for readers (and future readers) of all ages! The Portland Art Museum will feature pop-up readings and performances in the museum galleries throughout the festival day. Additionally, the Festival offers 12 writing workshops, including two free sessions for youth. Paid workshops include festival admission (no separate pass required). Sign up early for writing workshops through the Literary Arts website: classes are expected to sell out. Full line-up to be available early October. Exhibitors include over 75 publishers. Over 100 authors are in the lineup – meet your favorite author! Don’t miss this great event!
The festival book fair represents some of the best of regional and national publishing, writing, literary culture, academic opportunities, and more.
All books purchased at the Portland Book Festival—at the Powell’s Books, Green Bean Books, Broadway Books, and Annie Bloom’s bookstores and at any and all of the book fair vendors—support the authors and publishers who travel from near and far to share their work at the festival, and the booksellers and vendors who invest time and expense to be at the book fair. Books and book-related items purchased at the Portland Book Festival support the long-term sustainability of the event.
