The Spirit of Halloweentown
Every weekend in October!
Once in the 1990s, the peaceful waterfront city of St. Helens was overrun by something worse than zombies or headless horsemen — a Hollywood movie crew! Now, every October, this Oregon town transforms into a Halloween haven.
The historic riverfront town, made famous as the filming location for Disney’s Halloweentown movies, goes all out with spooky décor, giant pumpkins, and magical displays around Courthouse Plaza. Visitors can stroll the charming streets, snap photos with the iconic oversized pumpkin, and soak up the festive atmosphere that feels straight out of the movies.
Events include costume contests, trick-or-treating through St. Helens’ Old Town District, haunted tours and scarecrows galore. You’ll find fun like carved pumpkin displays and a replica of the vintage taxi driven by the skeleton cab driver Benny in the “Halloweentown” movie. The event features actors from the original Halloweentown movie, including Daniel Kountz, Kimberly J. Brown, Emily Roeske, Phillip Van Dyke, and J. Paul Zimmerman. Plus, there are special guests and performers like Jackson Rathbone from Twilight, Mr. Magic, Heather Pearl, Bright Heart Circus, The Matt Baker Comedy + Stunt Show, Supernova the Strong Woman, and more.
