Established on July 4th, 1904, the building has been known by many names; Thode’s hall, Trout Lake Hall, Trout Lake Tourist Club, Doodle’s Place, Trout Lake Tavern, Trout Lake Country Inn.
It’s had many forms and functions including silent movie theater, hand set bowling alley, dance hall, airplane hangar, dinner theater, bar, restaurant, and inn. Located at the base of Mt. Adams just 90 minutes east of Portland, the building is now living the good life in a resurgance of good will and good food. Hosting live music, serving up good food, and enjoying life. New owners as of September 2022.
