A little hideaway tea shop sits in a quiet corner of East Portland, not far from I-84. Unless you know it’s there, it could be easy to miss. Their flagship store is set in a beautifully restored old white building with beautiful arched windows. Jasmine Pearl is a quiet oasis between the freeway and Sandy Blvd. You walk inside and find lovely wood floors, a Japanese styled counter to order drinks to go or to enjoy in their sitting lounge. We chose to drink our tea in the lounge, where beverages are served on nice trays and on low tables. They have their wonderful array of teas available for purchase as well so you can take home your favorite.
Jasmine Pearl also offer classes ranging from Japanese floral arranging or calligraphy to a Mindfulness series including yoga and tea leaf reading. Their tea is wonderful and the shop is definitely worth a visit.
