The Best Way to Experience Some of Oregon’s Top Breweries

Published by KC Dermody On July 8, 2017

Oregon has been called the very best state for craft beer. It’s home to nearly 200 craft breweries, defined as companies that produce less than 6 million barrels of beer annually. While that may be fewer than its West Coast neighbors, California and Washington, Oregon happens to be home to more breweries per capita than any other state. And, the city of Portland hosts more breweries than any other city in the world.

Often referred to as “Beervana,” the City of Roses is practically a mecca for beer lovers. There are over 50 craft breweries here, including some that are world-famous, like Bridgeport, Pyramid and Widmer Brothers Brewing, along with plenty of up-and-coming eco-breweries, like Hopworks Urban Brewery and Bar, which boasts a bar that’s powered by customers on stationary bikes.

With so many options throughout the state, if you’re a beer lover who wants to sample them, it can be hard to know where to start. Taking an Oregon Beer Tour may be the best way to go.

America’s Hub World Tours offers several different Oregon, brew-based tours, including the Oregon Brew Tour. The  ultimate brew enthusiasts’ holiday is a 9-day, 8-night adventure that not only tours many of the state’s breweries, but many of its most popular sights. It includes a Portland City Tour, a tour of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area including Multnomah Falls, Mount Hood and Timberline Lodge, as well as spectacular Crater Lake National Park, the scenic Rogue River and California Redwoods, the Oregon Coast and picturesque lighthouses, and more.

If you only have a day, take the Oregon Coastal Brewery Tour which features stops at Wet Dog Cafe & Brewery, Buoy Beer Company, Fort George Brewery and Rogue Ales Public House, and a stop at either Pelican Brewery or Public Coast Brewing Company, as well as breathtaking destinations along the legendarily stunning Oregon Coast.

The Portland Local Brewery Tour is a 4-hour tour that reveals why Portland is one of thee world’s top beer cities, with visits to top specialty brewers that produce a variety of international style ales, including IPA.

Get the details on all of these tours by visit America’s Hub Tours here.
