A recent visit to Boomerang Bistro in downtown Vancouver found it to be a relaxing spot for a much-needed afternoon pick-me-up. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of vintage old town and modern vibe. The white marble countertops, gold fixtures, well-trodden wood floors, exposed brick, and large glass windows were perfect. My mid-afternoon visit found it to have a low-key atmosphere with no loud background music, so is a great spot if you like to do a bit of work on your laptop, have a nice conversation with a friend, or a quick meeting with a co-worker. Teas by local teamaker Steven Smith , espresso drinks by Proud Mary. Lunches include sandwiches, salads, charcuterie boards, and hummus platters. Boomerang is a non-profit bistro, donating back to the local community.
