June 2nd is Donut Day – celebrating one of life’s greatest pleasures.
Here are a few of our favorite Donut Shops we’ve found in the area (south of Seattle.)

Amazingly fresh little round donut holes of yumminess. Options are key here – the regular flavors of raw honey & sea salt, cinnamon sugar, or Nutella are paired with seasonal flavors and flavors of the day. Try multiple flavors with their CHAI tea flight too!
111 Liberty St. NE
Salem, Oregon
Hot and fresh donut holes to pop in your mouth with fun and unique flavors. Try lavender earl grey, lemon poppyseed, maple, or matcha chocolate. They’re as look as beautiful as they taste. Gluten-free, vegan, awesome. Currently to-go or delivery only.
Multiple locations in Portland
Their tag line is “donuts for grownups” focusing on amazing flavors and textures without all the over-the-top decor. Their glossy glazes look enticing as their flavors such as passion fruit cocoa nib, strawberry-rhubarb rosé or Cointreau Crème Brûlée. It began in Portland with 6 locations and has expanded to include a location in California.
Two locations: 1329 NW 9th Street, Corvallis, Oregon and 1970 Lancaster Dr. NE, Salem, Oregon offering up a wide variety of freshly made donuts and beignets too!

Perfecting the donut since 1959. Choose from cake, crullers, raised, bars, filled, and “plops.” In addition to the tried-and-true, a few flavors you may want to try include an orange raised donut, cappuccino devil’s food cake donut, a mint chocolate drizzle cake donut, and a red velvet with cream cheese glaze.

The little red barn just north of Salem with surprising finds inside – gourmet foods line the shelves, fresh produce, and freshly made donuts in seasonal flavors. You just have to stop by especially in the fall when the apple cider donuts are piping hot and coated with cinnamon sugar!
With 7 locations around Portland, you’ll have no trouble finding one of these cheery donut shops to brighten your morning. Their handcrafted donuts include a lovely lavender, mochi donuts, and a beautifully knotted apple fritter.
4110 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland
Beautiful, hand-made from scratch, and quality over quantity. Independently owned, they specialize in artisanal vegan donuts. You might find unusual flavors such as the Blue Hawaiian, Butterfinger, or Blueberry Lemon Thyme on their seasonal options, but you’ll always find their year-round favorites like the Portland Fog or the Sundae.
