Our photo of the week was taken at the new and growing waterfront park along the peaceful Columbia River in Kalama. The port of Kalama is doing a great job updating and making the park area a nice place to spend an afternoon. It has plenty of green space, sandy beaches, amphitheater, sheltered picnic tables, sand volleyball court, basketball hoops, marina, and two McMenamins restaurants. As of 2023, a new office/retail space is under construction which will add more welcome amenities to the park. It is a great place to stop and enjoy the view of passing ships!
