Abacela Winery’s estate vineyards are located south of Roseburg. The name derives from an ancient Spanish word meaning “to plant grapevines,” that indeed started in 1995. Abacela played a critical role in the pioneering of Tempranillo and Albariño varieties in America and the introduction of several other red and white grapes to Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.
