Bringing baseball back to Portland!

The team was introduced on March 10, 2015 in front of the Portland Downtown Rotary. A Name Your Team Contest was held in conjunction with the Pamplin Media Group and the public selected the name Pickles from a list of six names. J.J. Altobelli, an administrative assistant on the University of Oregon baseball staff, was named the Pickles first manager on August 17, 2015. Altobelli was an All-Pac 12 shortstop with the Ducks and played in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.
