Corvallis, Oregon

A 5,700 acre national refuge with wetlands, oak savannah, forest, prairie, and seasonal wet prairie. Located 10 miles south of Corvallis on Hwy 99 and open to visitors. Two county roads pass through the refuge, there are also four viewpoints and two walking trails.  The site once was part of an old homestead. The William Finley house and barn are still on the site, which includes a visitor center and small gift store. It is a refuge for some creatures, but not all, as elk hunting, black tailed deer hunting, and fishing is allowed, when following regulations.
