The vineyards around the Willamette Valley, the Rogue River valley, and up and down the Columbia River Gorge, and up around the Lake Chelan area all are favorites for wine tasting all summer long. Relaxing on a patio, glass of wine in hand, with views overlooking the vineyard is a lovely way to spend an summer afternoon. But the vineyards take on an especially scenic hue after the grapes have been harvested and Autumn arrives. Rolling hills lined with rows of golden amber are especially memorable. Take an Autumn drive through the wine country region closest to you and take advantage of this once-a-year spectacle. Early November is one of the best times to see the fabulous fall foliage of our local vineyards.
