We just published a new guide, best places to storm watch in the Pacific Northwest, with a round up including not just specific coastal towns but also accommodation recommendations (and a few food tips too) to help plan a stormy winter weekend.
We love the coast during the winter as its personality morphs and changes every few minutes. This great photo of Cape Flattery in Washington really illustrates a wonderful, moody presence of the Pacific Ocean.

Of course, always remember to use common sense when approaching storm seas – it’s best to book accommodation with a ocean view so you always have the option of enjoying the whipping seas from a safe distance.
