Holland Happening Festival

Celebrate our traditional Holland Happening Parade and Festival! Enjoy the Klompen canal races (get your shoes in advance at the Oak Harbor Chamber), the Dutch themed parade, food vendors, and more! For more than 50 years Oak Harbor has celebrated Holland Happening! The festival features the traditional Saturday parade along with a carnival, food vendors, and more all along our beautiful downtown waterfront. The festival began as an American version of “King’s Day” in the Netherlands, and marked the region’s Dutch heritage.  But now the festival has added booths, food, and exhibitions to highlight the multi-cultural nature of Whidbey Island’s largest city.
