Northwest Cherry Festival

Head to The Dalles for the 41st Annual Northwest Cherry Festival. A longtime favorite among locals and visitors alike, the festival is set in the spectacular Columbia River Gorge and showcases The Dalles’ deep agricultural heritage and Western roots.
Three days of family-friendly activities and events including:
- The Gorge’s largest parade,
- Classic car show
- 10k race
- Great local music and bands
- Cherry sampling craft vendors
- Agriculture job fair
- Cherry Idol
- Carnival
This year’s theme is “Homegrown Happiness”. Think back to a simpler time when family, friends, and home were the cornerstones of our lives. “Homegrown Happiness” can mean
something different for everyone. Think sock hops, rock n’ roll, poodle skirts, and leather jackets. We cannot wait to see how the community embraces this theme!
The Northwest Cherry Festival takes place in downtown The Dalles from Friday, April 21st through Sunday, April 23rd, 2023. The festival includes the Gorge’s largest parade, the KODL classic car show, the great Cherry Trail, and lots of local music and bands with Little Music City in The Dalles. You don’t want to miss the crowning of Cherry Festival Royalty, including our Little Royals, at Mid-Columbia Senior Center’s Breakfast Saturday Morning before the parade!
