Celebrate the 7th annual year of the Portland Winter Light Festival
Free all ages experience covering Portland with projection art, pop up installations and more. In the heart of winter when the skies are dark early, Portland streets come alive with lights to brighten the dark skies. Bring your camera to see art after dark!
February 4-12 2022, the festival is returning for a seventh year as a decentralized citywide event with pop-up art in windows, businesses, and unusual spaces, encouraging guests to explore the city to view art while allowing for equitable access for more families and guests. Pop-ups will be interspersed with large, dynamic anchor art installations.
This year’s theme: “Within the Ecosystem”
Past events have included a silent disco, flame dancers, illuminated bike ride, a lantern parade, a fire breathing dragon, light chimes, and more. Check the website for special events associated with this coming year’s festival.
