Recycled Arts Festival
June 29, 2019 @ 9:00 am - June 30, 2019 @ 4:00 pm
Come enjoy the FREE annual Recycled Arts Festival in Vancouver, WA — the hippest, most eco-conscious festival around. See how people are giving new life to old items that would otherwise have been lost in a landfill.
Create your own Eco-Art, create a costume for the Procession of the Species parade at one of the costume workshops, shop one of the amazing artisans, tour a tiny home, or just relax and listen to some wonderful music
An eclectic mix of music sets the background for the festival. Dance to zydeco, marvel at the marimbas, be amazed by the dexterity of the juggler or just take a break and enjoy the show.
The Procession of the Species is part of the Recycled Arts Festival, and features a parade of costumes, floats, music, and dancing with animal and element themes. This event is free and open to people of all ages.
Join in! Participate in the parade dressed in your species creation, create your own costume in one of the workshops, or cheer us on from the sidelines!
Visit the Tossed & Found booth and find ways to make use of trash!
Many items disposed of at the transfer station could be reused, recycled, or composted. For two months leading up to the Recycled Arts Festival, useful items are collected from the garbage received at the transfer station and displayed at the Tossed & Found exhibit. Come see what gets thrown away and get inspired to create, donate, recycle, compost, and make use of trash! Children can come enjoy an upcycled-craft play-table and recycling game. After the festival, reusable items will be donated to the Humane Society’s ReTails Thrift Store.
