Salem Soap Box Derby

Come watch and cheer on kids as they compete in the Oregon Soap Box Derby.  Winners advance to regionals and could go on to national competitions.  For over 60 years, families have worked together building and racing the soap box cars, teaching kids basic skills of workmanship and craftsmanship, the satisfaction of perseverance, the thrill of competition, the pride of tradition and most importantly, the spirit of sportsmanship. A full day of preparation and races at the beautiful Bush Pasture Park.
