Wings Over Willapa Festival

This annual birding and nature festival is a celebration of Willapa National Wildlife Refuge’s many species and diverse habitats. We’ll have an amazing array of tours, workshops, and other events happening all around the Long Beach Peninsula and Willapa Bay.

Events and field trips this year include beach walks to ID shorebirds, kayaking, sunset birding walks, night sky observation, birding on bicycles on the Discovery Trail, nature photography, a barge trip to old growth on Long Island, and a wonderful Nature Play Day with activities for young and old at Veteran’s Field in Long Beach.

Whether you are an experienced birder or just getting acquainted with the great outdoors, nature lovers of all ages are sure to find plenty to do. We look forward to seeing you!
