Have you ever seen a sunset so colorful at Cannon Beach? This one is definitely a stunner, captured by Instagrammer @teejaysimon. We are impressed! So much so that we decided to make this our Northwest’s Best Photo of the Week.
Cannon Beach is considered one of the world’s top spots for romance all year round. While September is often ideal, when winter arrives storm-watching opportunities abound. And while whales can be spotted anytime, one of the best times of the year is in winter (particularly during Whale Watch Week from December 27th to December 31st). It happens again in the spring, with 2018’s Whale Watch Week from March 24th to March 31st. These periods are when some 20,000 gray whales migrate just offshore.
