Oneonta Gorge, off the Historic Columbia River Highway near Ainsworth State Park, suffered some of the most severe burns in the devastating Eagle Creek fire that erupted in early September, ultimately burning over 48,000 acres.

The area is likely to be open to the public again by the spring, a time for renewal. While it may not be exactly as it was, this serves as a great reminder to appreciate the incredible beauty we have here in the Northwest. And eventually, it will be transformed back into the glory it once was.
