The Ridgefield Wildlife Sanctuary, in Ridgefield Washington is a beautiful refuge that is easily viewed by car. There is a well-maintained circular loop drive so you can view wildlife, even if you are unable to go on a hike. There are a few trails for those that want to get out and stretch their legs on scenic loop walks. It is mostly all level, making an easy stroll to get out and hear the birds, and see the wildlife up close. There is an informational kiosk at the entrance where you can pay a nominal entrance fee and pick up an informational guide for identifying any wildlife you may see. Early in the morning you will be more likely to see a wide variety of wildlife. Mid afternoons you will see the least. Well worth a trip!
