The month of March is finally here, so what better way to celebrate than with green, which is why we chose this image featuring the Great Wheel lit up in all of its green glory for St. Paddy’s Day. Not only is spring just a couple of weeks away, so is the Seattle St. Patrick’s Day Festival and parade!
This year, March 17th falls on a Saturday so we’ll actually be able to celebrate on the holiday, with the festival hosted over two days, March 17th and 18th. It includes live performances, hands-on activities, visual arts, foods, games and a marketplace. You can also expect plenty of Irish tunes, step dance and Irish jigging, along with booths that sell Irish products, children’s contests and activities.
The big parade, one of the best in the country, will kick off at 12:30 p.m. on March 17th, traveling up 4th Avenue, north from James Street to Westlake Park.
There are lots of other fun events this month around the Northwest, be sure to check out our event calendar here.
