The Vancouver Washington waterfront is being reimagined. It has long been more of a utilitarian area set on the edge of downtown, but the city has been having a renaissance lately. Having completed the waterfront area south of the I-5 bridge that bisects downtown Vancouver several years ago, the city is now focusing on the northern waterfront that is part of the downtown core. This reimagining includes a wide range of mixed use buildings, the latest of which is an apartment building with ground floor retail spaces including winery tasting rooms.
Wine tasting rooms are popular here, and the area is destined to become a destination unto itself for wine enthusiasts. With so many quality wineries within easy walking distance, outstanding views overlooking the Columbia River, fabulous restaurants, and a lively spirit, the area is a well worth a visit.
The latest wineries announcing they will join the Vancouver Waterfront project are Barnard Griffin Winery, as well as a joint tasting room for Valo Cellars and Massalto Wines. They will be joining six other wineries which include Maryhill Winery, Pepper Bridge Winery, Amavi Cellars, Airfield Estates, Brian Carter Cellars, and Naked Winery.
The Waterfront wineries will join several established wine tasting rooms already in the downtown area which include Burnt Bridge Cellars, Cellar 55 Tasting Room, and SuLei Cellars.
With Coronavirus protocols in place, it is best to call for reservations, or to check for the latest updates.
