The Yaquina Head Lighthouse is one of nine active lighthouses on the Oregon coastline to explore and photograph. Of the nine lighthouses, seven are open to the public. Two privately built lighthouses are certified by the U.S. Coast Guard but not open to the public.
- Cape Blanco Light in Port Orford (since 1870)
- Cleft of the Rock Light in yachts (since 1976)
- Heceta Head Light in Florence (1894)
- Pelican Bay Light (aka Port of Brookings Light – privatley owned) in Brookings (1997)
- Umpqua River Light in Winchester Bay (1894)
- Warrior Rock Light in Sauvie Island (1970)
- Yaquina Bay Light in Newport (1871)
- Yaquina Head Light in Newport (1873)
- Cape Arago Light in Coos Bay (1934) on tribal land and with limited views
More lighthouses to visit but currently inactive:
- Tillamook Rock: More than a mile out to sea and not open to the public, but is visible from Ecola State Park near Cannon Beach.
- Cape Meares Lighthouse is easily accessible to the public with parking lot and giftshop. One a back road part of the Three Capes Route between Tillamook and Pacific City
- Coquille River Lighthouse in Bandon was abandoned in 1939 but reopened to the public in 1979
